Abortion

Abortion

Become well-informed before choosing to have a medical abortion in the state of Georgia.

Decision Making

The choice to end a pregnancy is not made thoughtlessly or easily. Women choose abortion for varied and deeply personal reasons. Many women find it helpful to discuss the decision with their partner, a family member, a close friend, their doctor, a clergyman, or a counselor. This personal issue calls for empathy and understanding in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

Abortion Services We Offer

At Columbus Women’s Health Organization (CWHO), a private doctor’s office in Columbus, Georgia — our licensed OB/GYNs offer reproductive care to women.

Georgia Laws

Abortion is still legal in Georgia, however, as of July 20th, 2022, it has been banned after approximately 6.0 weeks.

By Georgia State law, state mandated information must be given over the phone at least 24 hours prior to terminating a pregnancy. Therefore, you must call our office for an over the phone consent prior to scheduling an appointment for your actual abortion procedure.
